The wines

Wine is about celebrating beautiful moments with sweet people around you. Wine is deep conversations, being in the moment and taking joy from the smallest things. From this philosophy we create three lines of wine: fathers, sons and grandsons. Bit masculine perhaps, but then again, our founders are dad Jos and son Remy.

Fathers - premium wines

Our fathers are often classic and oak-aged wines made from the best grapes Europe has to offer. These are characterful monocépage wines that may be seen as an ode to the terroir.

At Chateau Amsterdam, many of our fathers have won awards at various national and international wine awards such as the Berlin Wine Trophy Gold 2023, Berlin Wine Trophy Silver 2023, Global Merlot Masters Silver 2024, Global Riesling Masters Bronze 2023 and De Grote Hamersma 8.5.

Sons - modern wines

The wine world is full of traditions, dogmas and age-old etiquettes. With our modern line, which we jokingly call the Sons, we choose to break with this. We are experimenting with grape blends and alternative techniques. From this, orange wines, pet nat's and cuvees with grapes from different regions and countries emerge.

At Chateau Amsterdam, many of our sons have been rated 8 or higher by De Grote Hamersma award.

Grandsons - easy wines

The Grandsons are the friends of all, conceived to please many mouths. Wines that we developed specifically for retail with partners from Europe. But look closely, here too you will find grapes from several countries in one bottle. Typical Chateau. We sell our grandsons only at Albert Heijn. These two wines also won awards. They received no less than an 8 from De Grote Hamersma.
