Assistant Floor Manager

INTRODUCTION

Started in 2017 with a small wine production, now we produce 200,000 bottles of wine locally in Amsterdam; adjacent to our restaurant where these wines are served. We are growing rapidly and face new challenges every time. Our goal in the coming years is to expand even further in both wine production and distribution. With the dot on the horizon that in 2027 Chateau will be #1 wine brand in the Netherlands.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As the Assistant Floor Manager, you will be the right hand of the Floor Manager and ensure that the daily operation runs smoothly. You are a driving force on the floor and know better than anyone how to motivate a team and provide guests with a great experience.

What will you do?

  • Support the Floor Manager in the daily management of the restaurant and events.
  • Assist with staff planning, training and operational improvements.
  • Coach and manage the team so that they perform at top level.
  • Ensuring flawless service and exceeding guest expectations.
  • Attention to detail, concern for hygiene, maintenance and management 
  • Collaborate on the floor and proactively respond to challenges.
  • Smooth collaboration with kitchen, bar and winery.
  • Purchasing: from not-for-resale (such as candles, sugar and toothpicks) and supplies for the benefit of the operation to bar "for resale" products (such as beer, soft drinks and coffee beans) 

Your profile

  • You have at least 2 years of experience in a similar leadership role in the hospitality industry.
  • You have a passion for hospitality and wine.
  • You are stress resistant, energetic and know how to inspire your team.
  • You are flexible, including evenings and weekends.
  • You are fluent in Dutch and English.
  • You have an SHV (Social Hygiene diploma) or are willing to obtain it in the near future.
