Chateau Amsterdam, urban winery in Amsterdam-North, where we import grapes instead of wine and make the most innovative wines in Europe.
Making wine in the city when there is no grape vine in sight, how do you do it? By working with farmers from all over Europe, we bring different grape varieties, countries and styles together under one roof. This allows us to innovate and experiment with new flavors and experiences.
By moving the grapes instead of the wine, you can experience up close how wine is made. Our winery is equipped with steel tanks, a lab, amforae, concrete tanks and wooden barrels. There are few styles or techniques we can't employ here. A feast for the winemaker.
We work only with fruit from carefully selected partners throughout Europe. Farmers, families and entrepreneurs who care for their land, the plants, the harvest and their people. Over the years, our farmers have become part of the Chateau family.
At our wine tasting, come taste 5 of our signature wines while looking out over the barrels and tanks from which the wines emerged.
Our kitchen has created a seasonal menu, perfect paired with a good glass of wine, made 50 yards from where you sit.

Finally we can share with you our newest product: Chateau Amsterdam's Sipscription! A wine subscription where every three months you automatically receive our favorite seasonal wines, beautifully packaged in a Chateau box. For all our Chateau friends with little ones, we have good news. Every Sunday afternoon you can join us for pizza, pasta and vino of course! The kids design their own pizzas while you enjoy our homemade pasta, a glass of Chateau wine and quality time with your family and friends. Oh, and fishing is allowed in the fountain.
The Family Pizza menu: €15 for kids pizza, lemonade and ice cream, grown ups order a la carte.
At Chateau Amsterdam you can also enjoy a wine tasting, a glass of Chateau wine or a delicious Italian dinner outside. On our large, sun-drenched terrace we have room for as many as 140 people, so you and your friends or family will always have a good spot! The little ones have also been thought of - they can catch fish in our fountain.
From Central Station
⛴️ Take the ferry from CS to IJ Square or Buiksloterweg; from here it's just under 10 minutes by bike. If the sun is shining and you enjoy a walk, this is also an excellent option. Ⓜ️ Take metro 52 (North-South line) and get off at Noorderpark; from this metro station it is only a 10-minute walk.

🚲 If you're biking past CS, check the instructions above. If coming from Amsterdam-East, you can take the ferry from Azartplein to Zamenhofstraat (only 300 meters from chateau).
From the highway
🚗 We are also easily accessible by car, via the IJ tunnel from the city center or via the s116 from the A10. Take the exit to s118, turn left towards Johan van Hasseltweg, cross the traffic circle and you're there!
